  • Her interference in the promotion of lawsuits in the courts to secure sentences in favour of her friends, or of those who had purchased her favour, led to her banishment from the royal household by the Good Parliament of 1376
  • Alice Perrers returned in 1377 following a dying plea from her lover King Edward III
  • She was banished again after the death of King Edward III but returned to continue her court life of a  wealthy woman at the court of Richard II
